In honor of her law school volunteer services Sabrina was awarded a Public Service Fellow Certificate as well as an Alternative Dispute Resolution Certificate.
Though Sabrina acquired significant training and legal skills through her law school volunteer services, during law school Sabrina acquired additional significant legal skills through her employment as a Law Clerk at the Student Housing Legal Clinic where she assisted students in resolving landlord-tenant disputes as well as a Judicial Clerkship with the 10th District Court of Appeals.
Over the years, Sabrina has volunteered her time and talents in the Chicago and Columbus area with the following organizations: First Defense Legal Aid; Bronzeville Chamber of Commerce; Let My People Go; Northwestern University Center for Disability and Elder Law; NAACP Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological & Scientific Olympics (ACT-SO), Boys & Girls Club, the Speakers Publishers & Authors Association (SPAA) and the Coalition for Improved Education in South Shore (CIESS).
Prior to law school, Sabrina worked as an designer and project manager in the architectural, engineering, and construction industries. These experiences allowed her to gain valuable knowledge and training related to design, construction management, dispute resolution, and legal issues related to real estate, design and construction; thus preparing and leading Sabrina to Ohio State for her JD. Sabrina is still active in the design, project management, construction management, and project administration industries, in which she received her professional degree of architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
Sabrina works in all aspects of the firm's practice areas. Sabrina had the fortunate opportunity of assisting Lessie Towns, an elderly Chicagoan who was defrauded in the conveyance of her home. Sabrina helped Mrs. Towns reaquire her rights and interest in her home of over 40 years after her home was unknowingly conveyed to other parties in a mortgage rescue fraud scam; which led to the passage of Illinois House Bill 4011, the "Lessie Towns Act", to enforce homeowner rights and crack down on mortgage fraud. In 2016 Sabrina was the At Large recipient of the Peggy A. Monte Unsung Heroine Award from the Cook County Commissioner Board on Women's Issues.
