Address Confidentiality for Victims of Domestic Violence Act
HB 2818 (Public Act 101-0270)
The Act is expanded to include sexual assault and stalking as reasons a victim may also apply for the address confidentiality program. Your abuser shouldn’t know where you live. Survivors of sexual assault or stalking can apply to keep their address confidential.
Insulin Cost Cap
SB 667 (Public Act 101-0625)
Illinois becomes the 2nd State in the nation to help reduce patients out-of-pocket prescription costs for insulin by capping co-payments at $100 for a 30-day supply.
Minimum Wage Increase
The hourly minimum wage will increase from $10 to $11. The IL General Assembly passed increases to the minimum wage in 2019, raising the minimum wage $1 every year until it reaches $15 per hour in 2025.

DESCRIPTION: this Act sets forth requirements and guidelines for agreements between property owners facing foreclosure and a rescue company offering to assist a property owner in protecting their interest in their property typically through the sale of the property by the property owner to the rescue company with a leaseback agreement after the sale of the property to allow the property owner to lease the property from the rescue company with an option to purchase, allegedly with the belief that the purchaser will actually repurchase the property.
Upon the recording of a Quit Claim Deed with the Cook County Recorder of Deeds (CCRD), the CCRD is now required to send a postcard notice to the prior owner of record to inform the owner of the recording of the quit claim.
Condominium Property Act (Amendment)

DESCRIPTION: This amendment provides that a purchaser of a condominium unit through a judicial sale shall have a duty to pay the proportionate share, if any, of common expenses remaining unpaid for the period of 6 months preceding the filing of the foreclosure action resulting in the judicial sale. The notice of sale provision is also amended to require a warning of this possible liability to potential purchasers.
